ORDER FULFILLMENT: ORDER, SHIPPING, RETURNS, CANCELLATION & EXCHANGE

 

DESCRIPTION AND PRICE OF GOODS 

We have taken care to describe and show items as accurately as possible. Despite this, slight variations in items may occur especially as our products are handmade. If there is anything which you do not understand, or if you wish to obtain further information, please email us at: info@obatala.co.uk. We will respond within 48 hours.

We reserve the right to alter all pricing without notice.

Where we charge separately for packing, carriage and insurance and other relevant charges, the appropriate rates are set out in our specified pricing structure shown below.

 

DISPATCH AND DELIVERY 

You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process, you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors.

We will send you an order acknowledgement, detailing the products you have ordered.

We will dispatch the goods ordered by you as soon as possible to the address you give us for delivery, but in any event within 3 to 5 working days if the items are in stock.

In the case where goods ordered by you are not available, we will:

  1. Contact you to request your approval to fulfill the order with a substitute item of the same value
  2. Refund you the value of the items unavailable and dispatch the remaining items.

 

PAYMENT

We accept most credit / debit card and Paypal. Payment shall be due before delivery. If the payment fails, your order will be cancelled.

Security checks are performed at the online payment stage. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

 

SHIPMENT

We use Royal Mail and other carriers to dispatch your orders. All Products are sent using a “Signed for” service that confirms reception of the goods.

IMPORT & IMPORT DUTY 

The shipping of certain goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase.

Goods dispatched to other countries outside of the EU may be liable to Import Duty, Tax or VAT. When ordering from us you agree to pay any such Duties which may be imposed by your country’s government.

If you refuse to pay any Import Duty / Tax / VAT imposed and thereby prevent delivery of your order you will remain liable for the purchase price of the product/s and any Import Duty / Tax / VAT or penalty imposed by your government.

 

DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE GOODS 

In the unlikely event that the goods we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, we ask that you notify us by email at info@obatala.co.uk as soon as possible or in any event within 7 days of the delivery.

 

RIGHT TO CANCEL (Consumer right of return and refund)

The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract by e-mail at info@obatala.co.uk) before the cancellation period has expired.

However, this cancellation right does not apply in the case of:

  • Any made-to-measure or custom-made products or products made to your specification or clearly personalised;
  • Personal items such as Earring

If you cancel the order after the products have been delivered, please follow the steps indicated in the “returns” section to send back the goods. We will process the refund only after reception of the goods.

 

RETURNS

We have taken great care to describe accurately our products and their size. However, if you change your mind or if for whatever reasons, the product does not meet your expectations, please contact us as soon as possible at info@obatala.co.uk to be advised of the return address.

You must return the item(s), unused, unwashed, in the same condition that you receive it, with a copy of the receipt. Please note that several items such as customized goods and personal items like earrings are exempt from being returned.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. We recommend that you use tracked service to return the items to us and keep the receipt until we have confirmed reception of the goods. We reserve the right not to refund you if the goods are lost and you cannot provide a proof that they were returned to us.

We will inspect the items upon return and reserve the right to reject the return if the goods have been worn or used.

We will send you an email to notify that we have received the returned items.

 

REFUND

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of the initial delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery).

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than – 30 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.

The cost of returning the goods to us will not be refunded.
